I was recently invited to speak at Neuqua Valley High School for their first annual Writer’s Week.
“…Our hope is to bring in professional writers like yourself to show kids that there is a world of writing outside of the classroom and that if they love it, words can be part of their adult life.”
It turned out to be a really great experience. I spoke a little bit about my life, my path, and my writing philosophy. I also played a few songs. I met some fantastic people and the feedback was very positive!

Lyrics:
This is for the misses who are missin, solo mission. Competition signed petition to degrade and call them bitches.
This is for my gents with deep regrets, who failed the test, solo quest, the consequence, no cents to repent.
Three things you can’t hide, the sun, moon and truth. Take venom, hate and tragedy and make em something new. Drop science, give knowledge, straight from me to you. Haters try to dim your light when their own won’t shine through.
I’ll put one foot in front of the other one
I don’t need a new love, or a new life
Just a better place to die
I’ll put one foot in front of the other one
I don’t need a new love, or a new life
Just a better place to die
This is for the nation who raised us all on hatred. Divided separation gave us tattered race relations. Streets are paved with gold, if you work hard and be patient, but the cost of fuel is higher than our minimum made wages.
Babies having babies, no one left at home to raise them. Growing up to fast acting older than their age and… Daddy’s gang bangin, Momma’s tricking on the pavement. Then the cycle repeats from unprotected penetration.
I refuse to stand down. Coming up from the basement. Put a fire in your hearts and a smile on your faces. Untapped potential, new heights, that’s the basis. New book, new chapter, time to turn some pages.
I’ll put one foot in front of the other one
I don’t need a new love, or a new life
Just a better place to die
I’ll put one foot in front of the other one
I don’t need a new love, or a new life
Just a better place to die
Maybe I should learn to shut my mouth
I am over twenty-five
And I can’t make a name for myself
Some nights I break down and cry
Lucky that my father’s still alive
He’s been fighting all his life
And if this is all I’ve ever known
May son live on forever
In my song
I’ll put one foot in front of the other one
I don’t need a new love, or a new life
Just a better place to die
I’ll put one foot in front of the other one
I don’t need a new love, or a new life
Just a better place to die

“The Classic Rock Mixtape” will be released in 2013.
“City Kids” has been my most popular song to date by far. With that in mind, it definitely deserved the video treatment. Enjoy!
Ladies and gentlemen, I am ecstatic to share my debut video, Stand Tall. Thank you to PA, Matt Jenkins of North Ave Productions, Rashad and Basik da Kidd… Oh yeah and thank YOU for the support!
